Air Jordan 3 'Black Cement' resale prices: two years after the 2024 retro, it sells for what it launched at
The 2024 pair sold for a median $221 on StockX in its launch month and $218 in September 2026, after a low of $190 in May 2025. When it landed, the 2018 pair lost 23%.

The Air Jordan 3 'Black Cement' is coming back for a seventh time, with the Nike Air heel the originals wore, if this week's release coverage is right. Every return of this shoe raises the same two questions on the resale side: what is the last retro worth now, and what happens to it once a new one lands? We cannot see the seventh release yet, because it has not sold. We can see the sixth, from the week it launched to last month, and what its arrival did to the fifth.
The short answer: the 2024 pair has gone almost nowhere. It sold for a median $221 on StockX in November 2024, its launch month, slid to $190 by May 2025, and sold for $218 in September 2026. The 2018 pair was a different story. In the three months after the 2024 retro arrived it lost 23% of its price, and it has never got it back.

The 2024 pair ended up where it started
Compare the same listing with itself and the 2024 retro's two years look like a shallow bowl. On StockX the September 2026 median is 1.6% under the launch month. The 95% interval, the range the true gap most likely sits in, runs from 0.9% to 3.2% lower, and q = 0.015 means the gap survives our correction for testing six things at once: real, but small. Against its lowest full month, May 2025, it is 14.5% higher (12.6% to 15.3%, q < 0.001).
GOAT tells the same story with a deeper dip. Our GOAT history starts on December 28, 2024, so we miss its launch, but from a low of $169 in April 2025 (3,179 sales) the same pair reached $219 in September 2026 (394 sales), a rise of 29.6% (27.1% to 30.4%, q < 0.001). The two marketplaces have met in the middle: over the last 90 days the men's pair sold for a median $220 on GOAT and $221 on StockX, which is the same price for any practical purpose.
The 2024 'Black Cement' has spent two years within about $30 of its launch price, on both marketplaces.

When the 2024 pair landed, the 2018 pair dropped 23%
The 2018 retro (style code 854262-001) is the one a seventh release would push down the line. Our record begins on October 23, 2024, thirteen days before the first 2024-pair sale on StockX, so the "before" window is short: 71 sales at a median $336. From February to April 2025, with the new pair everywhere, the same 2018 listing sold 142 times at a median $260. That is 22.6% lower (24.4% to 18.5% lower, q < 0.001).
It has not recovered. The 2018 pair has sold between $230 and $270 a month ever since, and $240 in September 2026 (56 sales). Over the last 90 days it still carries a premium over the 2024 pair, $231.50 against $221 on StockX, 4.8% (2.3% to 8.0%, q = 0.0015). That is a much smaller gap than the $115 between them in November 2024.
The record cannot say whether the seventh release will do the same to the 2024 pair. One event is one event, the 2018 pair's premium was already far larger, and the 2024 pair starts from a price close to where the new one is likely to sell. What the record does show is that an older 'Black Cement' did not hold its premium through a re-release.
Bigger sizes sell for more, and the kids' pair is half price
Among men's sizes on GOAT in the last 90 days (1,431 sales, median $220 across all sizes), the price rises with the size. Size 7.5 sold for $154.50, 30% under the shoe's median; size 13 sold for $263, 20% over it. Sizes 9.5 and 10, the busiest, sit at the median. The last column is each size's median against the $220 median of all sizes. These are descriptive medians with the samples stated, not tested differences.
| GOAT, Jul 15 to Oct 12, 2026 | Median | Sales | vs the shoe's median |
|---|---|---|---|
| Size 7.5 | $154.50 | 58 | -30% |
| Size 8.5 | $199 | 155 | -10% |
| Size 10 | $220 | 181 | 0% |
| Size 11 | $247 | 125 | +12% |
| Size 13 | $263 | 77 | +20% |
The grade-school pair (DM0967-010) sold for a median $115 on StockX (477 sales) and $102 on GOAT (360 sales) over the same 90 days, roughly half the men's price.
What it means
If you own the 2024 pair, the resale record says it is worth about what you paid in the aftermarket two years ago, give or take $30, and that the last time a new 'Black Cement' arrived, the older pair lost about a fifth of its price within three months. If you own the 2018 pair, its premium over the 2024 pair is now under 5%. The two marketplaces price the 2024 pair the same, so any difference between them comes down to fees. Check what your size sells for on the Air Jordan 3 page, compare it in the price checker, and if you are not sure which release you have, our guide to telling what year your Jordans are walks through it. These are past sales, not a forecast.
How we measured this
Methodology: completed resale sales recorded from StockX and GOAT, men's listings of the Air Jordan 3 Retro OG 'Black Cement' 2024 (DN3707-010) and 2018 (854262-001), sales between $20 and $30,000; StockX from November 5, 2024, GOAT from December 28, 2024, where our GOAT history begins; through October 12, 2026, with October excluded from monthly figures as a partial month. Every comparison is the same listing on the same marketplace, so product mix cannot move it. Change figures are ratios of medians with 95% bootstrap intervals (2,000 resamples); p-values are Mann-Whitney tests, corrected across the six tests in this post with Benjamini-Hochberg, and we call a result real at q < 0.05. The 2018 pair's "before" window runs from October 23 to November 14, 2024, the start of our record to the first week of 2024-pair sales. Size figures are medians with the sample stated and were not tested. Our source adds sales listing by listing, and this shoe's recent weeks are still being backfilled, so this post reports prices only and no sales-count trend. Prices exclude fees and shipping; StockX sells new pairs only, GOAT also sells used pairs and we cannot tell them apart.
