The first pairs of the Air Jordan 5 'Halloween' resold for a median $397.50 on StockX. Three weeks later the median is $231, the steepest early fall of any recent Jordan 5 we track.

Air Jordan 5 'Halloween' on resale. Down 42% from its first week. StockX weekly median $397.50 in the week of September 21, $231 in the week of October 12. Other recent Jordan 5s: median -9.4% over their first four weeks. GOAT and StockX sales.

Jordan Brand's Air Jordan 5 'Halloween' is this year's Jordan Halloween release, and the first pairs to reach resale were expensive. In its first week of recorded sales on StockX, the typical pair went for $397.50.

It has not held. The weekly median has fallen every week since, to $231 in the week of October 12, a 42% drop in three weeks. On GOAT the same pair went from $348 to $224, down 36%. Of the recent Jordan 5s we can follow from their first sales, none fell further over the same stretch.

First week to fourth week of recorded sales: the 'Halloween' fell furthest of eleven Jordan 5 listings

Week by week

The 'Halloween' first appears in our sales record on September 21. These are the weekly medians for adult sizes:

Week starting StockX median GOAT median
September 21 $397.50 (24 sales) $348 (47)
September 28 $299 (147) $294 (117)
October 5 $264 (341) $225 (422)
October 12 (so far) $231 (387) $224 (293)

The sales counts are the number of sales behind each weekly median in our record so far, not a measure of weekly demand. The last row covers October 12 to 15 only.

The two marketplaces tell the same story. StockX started higher and fell further, and by the fourth week the two medians were within $7 of each other.

Is that normal for a Jordan 5?

Early pairs of most sneakers sell above where the price settles: the first buyers pay for speed, and prices ease once more pairs are delivered. To see how much is usual, we followed every recent Jordan 5 listing with at least 20 sales in its first recorded week, adult sizes, from that week to its fourth.

Listing Week 1 Week 4 Change
'Halloween', StockX (2026) $398 $229 -42.5%
Awake NY Black, StockX (2025) $675 $426 -36.9%
'Halloween', GOAT (2026) $347 $224 -35.4%
T23 'Tokyo', GOAT (2025) $420.50 $300 -28.7%
'White Metallic', GOAT (2026) $203 $171 -15.8%
'Tokyo', StockX (2025) $460 $406 -11.7%
'Grape', GOAT (2025) $454.50 $412 -9.4%
'Wings' women's, GOAT (2025) $275.50 $255 -7.4%
'Wings' women's, StockX (2025) $275.50 $260 -5.6%
Awake NY Arctic Pink, StockX (2025) $700 $684 -2.3%
'Black Carolina / UNC', GOAT (2026) $257 $273 +6.2%

Weeks here run seven days from each listing's first recorded sale, so the 'Halloween' figures differ by a few dollars from the calendar weeks above. The nine other listings moved a median 9.4% over the same four weeks. The 'Halloween' is at the bottom of the list on StockX and third from the bottom on GOAT.

It may not be finished. Those nine listings were a median 24% below their first-week price by weeks 9 to 12. That is what happened to other pairs, not a forecast for this one.

And the Halloween season itself?

A holiday two weeks away has not stopped the slide, which fits what we found for older Halloween pairs: in October 2025 they sold for about 7% more than in late summer, a real but modest lift (our October 8 post has the full test). A seasonal edge of that size is small next to a new release settling. In the first 12 days of this October, the 22 older listings with "Halloween" in the name and enough sales are flat against late summer (-0.1%), as is the wider market (-1.0%); it is early.

If you are weighing the new pair, the Air Jordan 5 page has today's median and the band half of pairs sold in, and the price checker breaks it down by size. These are past sales, not a forecast and not a reason to buy or sell.

How we measured this

Methodology: completed sales on GOAT and StockX recorded by SneakerPulse, sale prices above $0 and under $30,000, adult sizes (GS, PS and TD listings excluded). The 'Halloween' is style HQ7978-001; our first recorded sale is September 21, 2026, which may be before its release date. Release comparison: every Jordan 5 listing first sold on or after March 1, 2025 with 20+ sales in its first seven days and sales in days 21-27; apparel excluded, and two StockX listings left out because our record of them starts months after the same shoe's first GOAT sale ('White Metallic' 2026, 'Black University Blue' 2026). Each change is the median of days 21-27 against the median of days 0-6; the 'Halloween' days 21-27 run to October 15 only. With eleven listings this is a description, not a statistical test. The October 2026 check compares each older 'Halloween' (or 'Hallow's Eve') listing's median for October 1-12 with its own median for August 15 to September 30, 2026 (5+ sales in both; the Air Jordan 5 excluded); 22 listings, median -0.1% (95% bootstrap interval -6.1% to +10.1%), other sneakers -1.0% (6,776 listings), not significant. StockX sales carry no size, so size mix within a listing is not controlled. Prices only: our record of recent weeks is still loading for some listings.
