Do Jordan 11s resell above retail? 14 pairs checked, September 2026
The December holiday pairs mostly do, from +6% to +62% over retail. Of the six released in other months, only one sells clearly above retail, and some sell for half of it.
Every December, Jordan Brand releases a new Air Jordan 11, and the common belief is that the holiday pair is a safe buy at retail. Some years it is. The 2024 pair, Legend Blue, now sells for less than it cost in the store.
We compared the median resale price of 14 adult Jordan 11s with their retail price, using 18,029 StockX sales recorded between June 27 and September 24, 2026. Seven of the eight December releases sell above retail today. Of the six pairs released at other times of year, only one does.

Seven of eight holiday pairs sell above retail
The older December pairs lead. The 2018 Concord sells for a $356 median against a $220 retail price, 62% above retail. The 2016 Space Jam and 2021 Cool Grey are both about a third above retail. The most recent holiday pair, Gamma Blue (December 2025), sells for $279, 19% above its $235 retail, and 92% of its StockX sales in the window were above retail.
| Release | Released | Retail | Median resale | vs retail | Sales |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Concord | Dec 2018 | $220 | $356 | +62% | 534 |
| Cool Grey | Dec 2021 | $225 | $293 | +30% | 860 |
| Gamma Blue | Dec 2025 | $235 | $279 | +19% | 5,910 |
| Cherry | Dec 2022 | $225 | $251 | +12% | 639 |
| Gratitude | Dec 2023 | $230 | $243 | +6% | 1,004 |
| Legend Blue | Dec 2024 | $230 | $205 | -11% | 1,554 |
| Rare Air | Nov 2025 | $235 | $188.50 | -20% | 876 |
| Mojave | Nov 2025 | $250 | $210 | -16% | 315 |
Legend Blue is the exception among the holiday pairs. It sells for $205, 11% under retail, and only about a quarter of its recent sales went above $230.
Seven of eight December Jordan 11s sell above retail today. Of the six released in other months, one does.
The non-holiday pairs from late 2025 sell below retail
Three Jordan 11s released in November 2025 all sell below retail: Rare Air at 20% under, Mojave at 16% under, and the women's Pearl at half its $230 retail price (a $115 median, with none of its 509 recent sales above retail). The Lows are mixed: the 2024 Low Space Jam sells 36% above its $190 retail, while the 2025 Low Bred sells 5% below it.
With 14 shoes, this is a pattern, not a rule. Holiday pairs differ from the others in more than their release month, and the older pairs on this list are the ones people still trade often, which favours pairs that held their value.
Kids' sizes follow the adult pair
Grade-school (GS) versions track their adult pair, but more sharply. The Gamma Blue GS sells 25% above its $190 retail. The Legend Blue GS sells 44% below its $185 retail ($104 median), and the Rare Air GS sells 38% below.
Gamma Blue fell after release, then settled
On StockX, Gamma Blue's median was $343.50 in its December 2025 release month (32,290 sales), fell to $281 by February and has held between about $259 and $287 since. Legend Blue followed a similar path one year earlier, from $215 in December 2024 to $175 by April 2025, and has climbed back to $208.50 this September. Both pairs sold for the most around their release, then fell over the next two to four months.
Big sizes cost more, and highs cost more than lows
Across all Jordan 11s on GOAT, adult sizes 7 to 12 sell within a narrow band: medians between $227 and $250. Size 13 sells for $266.50 and size 14 for $291. Full-height adult Jordan 11s sell for a $262 median against $177 for Lows.
For one shoe's size-by-size prices, the Air Jordan 11 page lists every size, and the price checker looks up any listing. We did the same size-by-size breakdown for the Air Jordan 4 White Cement.
What this means
If you own a December Jordan 11 from 2016 to 2023, recorded sales put it above its retail price. Gamma Blue is still above retail nine months after release. Legend Blue shows that a holiday release can still fall below retail, and the late-2025 non-holiday pairs sell for less than retail today. None of this is a forecast. It describes what these shoes sold for in the last 90 days.
How we measured this
Methodology: Resale vs retail uses completed StockX sales from June 27 to September 24, 2026 (18,029 sales across 19 listings with at least 270 sales, including kids' sizes), because StockX sells only new pairs. Retail prices and release dates come from StockX product data retrieved via kicks.dev. "vs retail" is the median sale divided by retail, minus one. 95% intervals come from 1,000 bootstrap resamples of each shoe's sales, and the share of sales above retail has a Wilson interval (Gamma Blue 92%, 91-93%; Legend Blue 27%, 25-29%). Seven of eight December pairs and one of six others sell above retail (Fisher's exact test, two-sided p = 0.026). This is one test on 14 shoes. It does not control for release size or for which older pairs are still traded, so read it as a description, not a rule. Monthly medians, sizes and highs vs lows use 45,473 GOAT and StockX sales of Air Jordan 11 footwear from June 27 to September 24, 2026 (median $221; middle half $152-$275). The size table uses GOAT only (StockX sales carry no size) and excludes GS, PS, TD, women's, crib and cleat listings. GOAT sells used pairs too, which lowers its medians for older shoes. StockX recorded almost no sales from May 22 to July 3, 2026 (a source gap), so the monthly medians skip June 2026 on StockX.
