StockX or GOAT? Where to Sell Your Sneakers

Search a shoe. You get what it actually sold for on each marketplace in the last 90 days, what you would receive after each one's seller fees, and which pays more. We only name a winner when the gap is bigger than normal price noise.

Across 3,194 shoes: who pays more?

GOAT's median sale price for the typical shoe was +1.7% versus StockX's, but GOAT also takes more in fees. After fees at each marketplace's median price (StockX Level 1; GOAT prepaid shipping and a bank cash-out), GOAT paid more for 15% of shoes, StockX for 32%, and 53% were too close to call.

    How this works

Shoes are matched across GOAT and StockX by style code (punctuation ignored) and must have at least 20 completed sales on each in the last 90 days. Payouts apply each marketplace's published US seller fees (verified September 24, 2026; see the fee calculator for sources) to its median sale price. "Too close to call" means the 95% interval for the payout difference includes $0; the interval uses the large-sample standard error of each median, estimated from its interquartile range and sale count. StockX sales do not include size, so size-level comparisons set GOAT's price for that size against StockX's price across all sizes and are marked indicative. Past sales, not a guarantee of what your pair will fetch; speed of sale differs by marketplace. Not financial advice.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Is it better to sell on StockX or GOAT?

It depends on the shoe. Across 3,194 sneakers that sold at least 20 times on both in the last 90 days, GOAT's median sale price was +1.7% versus StockX's for the typical shoe, but GOAT's fees are higher. After fees at each marketplace's median (StockX Level 1; GOAT prepaid shipping and a bank cash-out), GOAT paid more for 15% of shoes, StockX for 32%, and 53% were too close to call.

Why does the StockX side not change with shoe size?

StockX's sales data does not include the size of each pair, so the StockX figure is the shoe's median across all sizes. GOAT's data does include size, so the GOAT side can be shown for one size. Treat size-level comparisons as indicative.
